mickey mouse thinks it's funny too

i just remembered something at my convo that i forgot to share in the previous post. haha. at my diploma convo two weeks back, i don't know why i got nervous at the wrong time. the whole time i was fine, didn't feel the slightest panic at all until my coursemate who was in front of me went to get his scroll and as i was standing at the marked spot waiting for my turn, i suddenly became gelabah :p then my name was called and as i walked towards the guest of honor my shoe strap came off. that made me more nervous that i just shook the guy's hand and wanted to leave straight until he said "ambik ini (take this)", handing me the scroll. my goodness can u believe it? i went for my convo but didnt take the scroll - the symbol of graduation! haha. i was like "oh sorry sorry" then embarassingly took the scroll :p i doubt i even looked into the camera. let's just hope the photo wont turned out with me looking some where else whereas the guest looked straight into the camera. that'd look really weird and funny. lol

i'd post up some pics but i'm still waiting for the pics from robert. see this was what happened...
ivan stored all the pics in his laptop and then that afternoon his laptop just couldn't be turned on. so we asked robert to check it and he 'diagnosed' it 'dead' :p yea...the laptop has finally ended it's life but thankfully we still can retrieve the datas. so we passed it to the IT expert, robert to help us with that :) i'll post the pics up when i get them back.

on another note, the HELP convocation that I was supposed to work for last sunday turned out pretty interesting for me. getting to see and experience the behind-the-scenes parts was indeed something. being in back stage was also an experience in itself. to see that even the deans and overseas representatives fell asleep proves that convos ARE boring :p there was this australian (if im not mistaken) guy who dozed off right until a short while before his turn to present the certs and as if he knew that it was close to his turn, he automatically woke up. haha.
man were the trays heavy! and it didnt help that each student's name was called rather slowly. each of us were to rotate do three times each. in my second round, i could feel my hands shivering and it was scary. i was afraid that i might drop the tray and unintentionally cause a scene for myself :p except for the tan sri's speech, everything else ended pretty fast, just as scheduled.

i ended up having hand ache on my left hand the next day. ivan was saying that it shows how unfit i am that even carrying a tray can cause my hand to ache. haha. so true :p

echoes off the sky

oh well...it's 2.09am now and i'm waiting for the downloading of the new msn (yes yes i'm outdated :p) and i have nothing else better to do so i thought i'd just write a little. hehe

just a brief update on what's happening..pretty much nothing interesting really besides work. sorry la..work's taking most of my time so i can't avoid talking bout it don't i? eh even i find msyself boring ok :p so yea...work's been rather a lot lately with the exams coming up in may and june and my senior being on maternity leave for the next one month, leaving me and another staff who's also new at this with all the timetabling, name listings and seating plans to complete by end of this month. quite a challenge i must say but it's not too bad and since i'm quiting end of june, this workload would make time pass much faster :)

other than that..hmm...my degree? i dont know. i hate coming back to this crossrod where i have to choose and decide what i want to do again. that's not all, it's what, where and when. ugh...pening. haha. well...i'd most likely continue in business which will help narrow down my options :)

mm..what else? let's see...
oh i've just had my convo last saturday. my diploma convo. initially i didn't want to go cause i was thinkin it's so silly to have a covo for diploma. it's not like it's that big a deal (to me la) and why waste money. but then when i found out the price and all about a month earlier, i was like "ok la not too bad" plus my friend really wanted it so i thought why not. anyways...it all turned out pretty well i'd say. i had a fairly good time :) it's just fun to meet those you dont meet or talk that often in college before and find out that they're really nice and funny actually. except some whom have turned out to be 'i'm-too-cool-to-be-your-friend' type really turned me off. i guess that's just life. you meet all sorts of people, they come and they go.

now that i've had my convo, this sunday i have to WORK at people's convo :p haha. adrienne, tim and i are working this sunday at HELP's convo. adrienne and i are dutied on the stage and tim..i forgot :p i find it really interesting that i get to experience two convos in two weeks from two different perspectives, one as the graduand and one as a staff. one week i was seating down the stage waiting for my name to be called and the next week i'll be standing on stage to help hand out the 'certs'. interesting huh? :)

k la that's it for now...nothing else interesting to talk bout =p till then have a great weekend ahead!

ivy mak signing out. lol

the people you meet in your life

what a way to start the week.

the train reaches at 6.36am every morning and this morning i reached the station at 6.33am..not too bad still. there's a possibility i can catch it if i ran fast enough and normally i would be able to catch it. this morning was the same case. i bought the ticket and saw that everyone at the opposite track got up from their seats which was a sign of the arrival of the train. so i ran the fastest i could which is normally really not that fast actually :p as i was running down the stairs the train was still there and i was thinking.."ok good i can make it then i wouldn't have to wait for another 20 minutes"...down to the last two steps to my disbelieve the doors closed and the train began moving! can you imagine it...last two steps!! i was that close! argh... i mean if it was the putra or star lrt then i wouldn't be so mad...this is ktm, the old fashioned, manually controlled doors train we're talking bout. the mean driver could have been a lil kind-er seeing this lady running like there's no tmr and waited for five more seconds! compared to the hours (collectively from all the times i took the train) i waited for their delayed trains, this five seconds is almost invisible in their "on-time schedules". in the end i waited there for 30 minutes instead of 20 for the next train because it was DELAYED. geramnya...

fine that was that. i reached my workplace and decided to buy breakfast at the food court nearby. i took nasi lemak with fried egg and proceeded to pay at the counter. a guy beside me took the exact same thing as me. we stood there for like five minutes like dungu waiting for either the boss or worker to come collect our money. can u imagine it's like we're begging them to take our money. i tell u people these days....i dont know what to say. ok fine. the worker came and she collected from the guy first. came my turn, she opened my box and charged me 2.50. i was like "itu orang punya pun sama dengan saya kenapa saya you charge lebih?" she replied "oh..nasi dia sikit." -_- she didnt even open the box how sure was she that his took little and i'm quite sure i saw the guy took almost the same quantity as me. i think i paid almost 1.50 more than that guy. i mean it's not like i can't pay 2.50 but only if it's the same for others as well la and this is the second time this lady overcharged me. ugh...dah la made me wait then overcharge me some more. i'm never going back there again.

the Famous One

yup we're celebrating the death of the Famous One today. note: Celebrating!

i guess i'll just let the lyrics of one of my favourite songs speak.

By His Wounds - Mac Powell

He was pierced for our transgressions
He was crushed for our sins
The punishment that brought us peace was upon Him
And by His wounds, by His wounds we are healed

We are healed by Your sacrifice
And the life that You gave
We are healed for You paid the price
By Your grace we are saved
We are saved

He was pierced for our transgressions
And crushed for our sins
The punishment that brought us peace was upon Him
And by His wounds, by His wounds we are healed

We are healed by Your sacrifice
And the life that You gave
We are healed for You paid the price
By Your grace we are saved
We are saved

He was pierced for our transgressions
He was crushed for our sins
The punishment that brought us peace was upon Him
And by His wounds, by His wounds we are healed
And by His wounds, by His wounds

What can wash away my sin?
Nothing but the blood of Jesus

hear it =)

nothing that we did or will do that made Him chose to die for you and me. it was love. pure and holy love. we didn't choose Him, He chose us. so it's now up to you and me to decide whether we want to accept this gift. this gift of life. this gift represented by the blood of Jesus Christ. this gift that if it weren't for Him, we instead would be the ones dying on that cross for our own transgressions.
